Here’s What Passion for the Job Looks Like…Caine’s Arcade

Passion for the Job

Do you know what being passionate about your job could look like?

Sometimes it’s hard to explain to someone.

That’s why I was so excited when I ran across this quick film called Caine’s Arcade.

Caine Monroy knows passion for his work, and he’s got a job he loves.

And he’s only 9.

When you’ve got passion for your work you reap the benefits:

  • You figure out ways to overcome obstacles – Watch his creativity flourish around creating the claw machine at the 2:47 mark and wait until you see his  “fun pass” security solution at the 3:30 mark.
  • You’re lucky – His first customer happens to be the same one that puts him on the map in a very big way.
  • You make an emotional connection – There’s a flash mob in the story in the best kind of way.  Need I say more?
  • Your passion rubs off on others – There’s also major press with this short film, and it’s gone viral. In fact, you may have already seen it but I suspect not from this perspective.  If you’re half as touched as I was, you’ll shed a joyful tear or two.
  • Magic happens…

Note:  Special bonus moment and best line of the film if you stick around to the very end to the 10:50 mark.

If this resonates with you, then let us know why in the comments below.

It helps everyone when you contribute.

Just ask Caine.

On the Caine’s Arcade movie website they’ve already raised over $150k for a college scholarship for him. Talking about support? Wow!
